VOTING for our future.

Everyone who lives in Pakistan is fed up with the things that have been happening around. In a country where youth dominates the population, the selection of 'golden oldies' for the position of caretaker Prime Minister and Chief Election Commissioner is a joke.

So can we right the wrongs of the previous governments? Can we try to take Pakistan into a better future? Yes we can. We can outvote corruption in the upcoming elections, we can outvote old faces on May 11, and yes, we can stand up for what's right and use our freedom for the right reasons.

We have to vote on May 11 for a better Pakistan, and steer the country towards greatness.

THE POWER OF VOTE IS STILL UNDISCOVER

What is a vote? “It’s a piece of paper. It has several pictures printed on it. One picture has to be selected and marked by people and then they put it in ballet-box. After this those marked pictures are counted and finally a government is established.” Is this definition enough of a vote. No, definitely not. Rather than a piece of paper it is the most powerful weapon which is made only for common people. Although, it is much lighter than a bullet but much powerful than an atomic bomb. And most of us are unaware of its correct use. What we only know is that how to criticize our leaders, how to protest, how to give “DHARNA”, how to destroy our own properties etc. But, did we ever think that who gave those leaders the authority to do whatever they want? Who allowed them to play with our and Pakistan’s future? No, we never thought that it was our mistake that we didn’t cast our vote. George Jean Nathan said:

“Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote.”

If we look into our history, we will find that Muslims succeeded in achieving Pakistan just because they knew that what were their rights and how to exercise their powers. In General Elections 1945, when Muslim League won with flying colors, Quaid-e-Azam said:

“I HAVE NO DOUBT NOW IN ACHIEVING PAKISTAN. THE MUSLIMS OF INDIA HAS SHOWN THE WORLD WHAT THEY WANT. NO POWER OF WORLD CAN TOPPLE THE OPINION OF 10 CRORE MUSLIMS.”

Now, the time has come to bring revolution. Those who have courage to raise their voice for their rights and those who don’t, vote are equally powerful for everyone. I think awareness should be developed in people about the power of vote. They should understand that their vote will decide their budget of upcoming 5 years. Their vote will decide that how many strikes will be observed. Their vote will decide that which type of news they will watch on TV, whether they will watch the countdown of people dying in Karachi and at the end of month or a year a report of total score of dead bodies will be the main news of all channels and newspapers, or they will watch that our currency left behind the dollar. Their vote will be responsible that how many times breaking news of bomb blasts will be flashed, how many times they will hear that roads are blocked due to protest and because of which schools will remain closed tomorrow. Hence, collectively it all depends on us that which type of Pakistan we want. So, come out on 11th May and vote for Pakistan and for yourself.

Neo-Slavery.

We are living in the greatest age of 'deception'. We think we are free but we are indeed in the state of slavery.

In ancient times, and still in few parts of the world, Black people faced severe racial discrimination form the White people. They faced the most violent form of  human slavery in human history. Practically, they were not considered human beings.

The increase in human awareness gradually helped black people to get rid of that pathetic life. Although, it did not end the process of exploitation. Slavery transformed itself into a more complex form: Neo-Slavery.

The third world countries are the main victims of this form of exploitation and the main reason of this situation is the lack of quality education. The result is very few number of people are able to make true analysis of the state of affairs. Majority of the people are unable to question the sanity of the process. We are either unable to question the wrong doings or accept the situation with various selfish reasons.

The result is that the few number of people who make the ruling elite manage to control us. We are being fooled by the slogans of democracy but it's really difficult to find real democracy. Since democracy only count heads and the true essence of democracy can only be achieved if the majority of people can think freely without any prejudice, racism and are able to analyze the situation selflessly.

The ultimate result is the Neo-Slavery. We are living in a consciousness that we have choice and freedom to vote but in real sense it's an 'illusion' of choice. In fact, we are making choices according to the vested interests of elite class. We are being controlled in every manner.

Change from the this form of exploitation is only possible if every person has an opportunity to get the highest form of education without any discrimination and class difference. Education level should be equal for every one regardless of any prejudice. Only then we can assume that its a free society where every one can think at an optimum level.
